Has anyone seen the commercial for the new FDA approved birth control pill, SEASONALE?
I have been disturbed at the growing trend of using a red dot (a “period” get it?) in the marketing of various menstruation products, but the Seasonale commercial takes it to whole other level. Throughout the commercial, the women are picking up red dots off the floor and playfully tossing them around the room.
Yes, they’re picking up their periods and flinging them at each other like a bunch of bitchy menstruating monkeys. It’s just filthy.
I feel dirty posting this.
Not to mention I’m covered in insect bites. I’m SO getting west nile now. Sucks.
I’m leaving for New York tomorrow afternoon. Yay! It’s going to be tough to sqeeze in everything I want to do. I have a feeling I’m not going to be able to see RHPS there, even though it was a dream of mine when I was in high school. I plan on checking out Stonewall and a few other gay landmarks, plus try to get in to B&H Photo and a few bicycle related stops. Someone will have to remind me that the reason we’re going up there is to help Carolyn and Nick move into their apartment. :)
