For some reason I’m sitting at work watching the Donahue show tonight. The topic has something to do with whether or not women now have a “free ride” after all these years of women’s lib.
I love/hate watching shows like this. Everyone is right and everyone has statistics to back up anything they say. My favorite part so far was when some man in the audience explained how unfair it is that women can comfort each other in the office and men can’t. He wanted to know if the Obligatory Feminist on stage would sue her workplace if women were allowed to hold each other’s hands or rest their heads on each other’s shoulders, if when men did the same they’d be laughed at or called “wimps.” huh? That’s just silly.
I have to stop watching this, it’s just getting stupid.
